Northfield will be collecting leftover Halloween candy from November 1st-5th. Candy will be given to the USO at BWI airport to our troops before they go overseas.

On Monday, November 12th, Northfield will host our Fourth Annual Veteran's Day Celebration. All students who participate in scouting programs are invited to come to school dressed in their scouting uniforms at 8:15 AM.

More Than Karate After School Program with Okinawan Karate Dojo begins on Monday, November 5th.

On November 27, 2018, the Howard County Health Department will be at Northfield to conduct vision and hearing screenings for Kindergarten, First Grade and all students new to the state of Maryland.

All 2nd-5th grade students have heard about the Instructional Seminar opportunities being offered this year. Instructional Seminars are open to all students in grades 2-5 who have a desire to learn about the topic offered. Deadline: October 19th

Students in grades 2-5 are encouraged to participate in the 2018 State of Maryland Literacy Association's Young Author's Contest. Students can write a poem or short story to submit for the contest.

October 31st is another highly anticipated day for many children and families. To ensure it is an inclusive event, Northfield Elementary will celebrate the day by having Fall Festivals in each team.

Northfield will be administering a state mandated school climate survey during the week of October 22nd during 5th grade technology classes.

The Northfield Drama Club is excited to announce that our spring 2019 musical will be Disney’s Alice In Wonderland Jr.!

Students in Grades 4 and 5 will be participating in FITNESSGRAM® (FG) during the week of October 15th - 26th.
