HCPSS is committed to providing a healthy learning environment for students and staff.

During ​"​Start With Hello Week​" in February we ​announce​d ​that NES w​ould ​​be ​install​ing ​a "Buddy Bench" on the playground this Spring​ - and it's here!​

In order to make our field day a HUGE success, we need your help and the help of your neighbors, friends, extended family members, etc! Please volunteer!

Last year, we won first place and $2,000 to help pay for a projector in our big gym! Help NES win first place again and secure the remainder of the funds needed for this wellness project!

Safe Routes to School Howard County is hosting its first Walk & Bike to School Day poster contest. They are looking for posters that address ways to walk and bike to school safely. The grand prize winner at each school will win a brand new bicycle and helmet.

There has been a national recall of Epipens in the United States. The Health Services staff are currently identifying any assigned epipens in the health room for the affected lot numbers. Parents with affected Epipens will be contacted for a replacement.

All 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students in the state of Maryland will take the PARCC assessment this spring.

Students in grades 1-5 will be taking the Spring MAP assessment starting May 1st.
