Mandatory Training for All Volunteers
It truly takes a village to raise a child. At NES, we take our role in this village very seriously. We strive to provide the very best education for our students every single day, but we would fall short without the help of our wonderful, dedicated volunteers. Volunteers support us and our students in more ways than we can count.
According to HCPSS Board Policy, all volunteers must complete a Confidentiality Training Course about protecting the privacy of our students, staff, and schools. Please complete this course before registering to volunteer at your child’s school. The course takes about 5 minutes to complete. Once you have completed this short course, please print a certificate of completion and bring it to each school you plan to serve. At Northfield, you can bring the certificate to Mrs. Raschka, Principal's Secretary.
Additionally, all volunteers must complete the Child Abuse and Neglect training. Once this short training is complete, please print the certificate of completion and bring it to the front office at NES prior to volunteering.
All volunteers are also required to sign in and out each day using our Lobby Guard system. In order to access this system, you must bring a state issued photo ID with you to Northfield. The Lobby Guard will print out a visitor's badge for you to wear while you are at our school.
Thank you for your interest in volunteering and we look forward to working with you.
Please contact NES at 410-313-2806 if you have any questions.
