Greetings NES Community,
We are looking forward to seeing many parents for American Education Week starting tomorrow and ending on Friday, 11/17. This is a great time to come into school to see what your child's day looks like and to celebrate all of the wonderful teaching and learning that takes place at Northfield each day. We are very proud of our school and are excited for you to see what makes it such a great place to be everyday.
Our PTA will be serving coffee from 9:00-10:30 on Monday and Tuesday morning so please be sure to stop by the cafeteria for a cup and to learn about all of the exciting programs, events, and activities the PTA has planned for our students this year.
While you are visiting, please be mindful that it is still a normal day of learning for your child. To keep classroom disruptions to a minimum, please adhere to the following:
Only adult family members are permitted to visit during the school day.
Silence cell phones. If you need to make a call, please do so in the front lobby.
If you would like to take photos of your child, please make sure other students are not visible in the photographs. The HCPSS Student and Parent Handbook prohibits visitors from taking photos of students, unless the photos are of your own child/children.
Unless invited to do so by the teacher, please do not try to have a conversation with the teacher or students.
Limit your conversations with other parents while in classrooms.
Some teachers will ask you to help the students, while others will want you to be an observer. Please follow the directions of the teacher.
Parents are welcome to come in at anytime during the week, but due to limited parking and an event at Dunloggin Middle School on Wednesday, we are asking parents to come in on the following days if their schedules permit.
For safety reasons, all visitors will be required to check into the front office upon arrival. Please bring your license or photo ID. To save our front office staff some time, please know the name of the teacher you are visiting. We will be providing copies of team schedules and maps for visitors.
We are looking forward to a great week!
Thank you,
Mrs. Lopez and Mrs. Golden
