After the school year started, Northfield was given a 0.4 teacher position for Physical Education.  This increases our PE teacher allocation from 2.0 to 2.4. Northfield is excited to welcome Mr. Roberto Chen to our Physical Education team as a 0.4 teacher.  He will be with us for part of the day on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.  He comes to us with an extensive background of working with children and teaching Physical Education.  Mr. Chen will be a strong asset to our Health and Wellness team, as well, and is excited to continue to promote Northfield’s vision of educating the whole child.  

Due to our PE addition, we had to make changes to the schedule.  Your child’s PE day or time will not change, but his or her PE teacher may change.

For the remainder of the school year on Wednesdays only, we will have a long term sub for Mr. Gearin’s PE classes. We are happy to welcome Ms. Joan Stralka to the PE team on Wednesdays.   Ms. Stralka is a regular substitute at Northfield and a former NES parent.
