Let Me Run- Program for 4th and 5th Grade Boys

Be a part of the Let Me Run team!

Registration is open for 4th and 5th grade boys to join the Northfield Let Me Run team. The program will meet after school from 3:15pm- 4:45pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting April 17th.

Let Me Run inspires boys through the power of running to be courageous enough to be themselves, build healthy relationships, and live an active lifestyle. The team will train for 7 weeks after school and compete in the final Let Me Run 5K held in June. This year the program will be coached by seasoned veteran, avid cross-country runner, and NES parent, Eric Myers. Eric is also a teacher in Howard County and is returning to inspire the boys to meet other runners, learn to be better friends, and to have fun! Assisting him we have Angie Gardner and Beth Trump, both moms of 4th graders here at NES. We are looking for middle school, high school, or college aged boys to attend practice to inspire and mentor throughout the 7 weeks. If you know of anyone in need of community service hours and would recommend them, please contact Angie Gardner.

Equipment needed for practice: water bottle and a pair of tennis shoes. *Anyone who registers is also eligible to attend Feet First for an evening hosted by Let Me Run that will include 15% discount on shoes and apparel for participants.
