Greetings NES Families,

One of the most exciting days of the year is quickly approaching---OPEN HOUSE!  On August 31st, all students will have the opportunity to see their new classroom, meet their new teacher(s), reconnect with old friends and meet new friends.  This is a great time for your child to bring in his or her school supplies, as well. 

As was done last summer,  homeroom teachers will be sending a message to parents through Canvas to introduce themselves as your child's teacher.  This is how you will find out your child's homeroom teacher for the upcoming school year.  In order to receive this message, please make sure your contact information is up-to-date and accurate in Family File by visiting HCPSS Connect.  For safety and confidentiality purposes, we are no longer permitted to post class lists with student names on the front door of the school or in the hallways indicating which class your child is in so please be on the lookout for a Canvas message on or around August 30th. 

Open House Details:

When: Thursday, August 31, 2017

Kindergarten: 10:00-10:45 a.m.

**We invite our youngest and newest Roadrunners earlier in the day when the building is more calm and quiet.  Older siblings may join their Kindergarten brothers and sisters, but will not be able to go to their new classroom until later in the day.

Grades 1-5:  2:00-2:45 p.m.

PTA-sponsored Popsicles on the Playground: 2:45-3:30

New NES Family Reception: 3:30-4:00

**Mrs. Lopez (Principal) and Mrs. Golden (Assistant Principal) invite all new families to Northfield to stop by the cafeteria for an informal meet and greet session where we will be available to answer any questions you may have before school starts the following week.  

Please note:  All students should be accompanied by an adult to the Open House.
