HCPSS Schools Remain Closed

As of May 9, 2020: HCPSS schools, office buildings and outdoor spaces are closed through the remainder of the current school year, while the school system continues to operate remotely.

As of March 25, 2020: In response to the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic, Maryland State Superintendent Dr. Karen Salmon directed that all Maryland schools close through May 15, 2020. Accordingly, all HCPSS schools are closed during that time. However, the school system is not shut down.

During this time, school administrators and central office staff will be working remotely. Voicemail will be checked daily; however, email is recommended for the quickest response. For school-related questions, please email the school principal. For all other questions, locate and contact the appropriate department at Central Office.

Past notice from March 12, 2020:

Maryland State Superintendent, Dr. Karen Salmon, directed that all Maryland school close in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.  Accordingly, all HCPSS schools will be closed March 16-27.
