There are many Canvas Orientation tools created by HCPSS that are available to you. They are organized by levels (Elementary and Middle/High School features) and also have Parent Features to help you navigate Canvas.

Instructional Resources to Use at Home

Instructional resources have been created for each grade level as an option for students to use while at home. These guides are designed to provide ideas for engaging students in learning activities while schools may be closed for inclement weather or other unexpected events. While the activity ideas listed do not represent the same level of instruction that occurs in our schools, they are intended to help keep our students intellectually active while they are at home. They will not be collected or graded.  While our community health and safety are our first priority, we wanted to make sure you were aware of online resources for your family at home.

Family and Community Resources Homepage

When you click on this link https://hcpss.instructure.com/courses/34447 you will find a list of grade levels on the left hand sidebar.  Click on the goldenrod button (that grade level's navigation bar) which is near the right corner of the page. You will see a drop down menu with specific topics.  This will lead you to suggestions for practice at home, explanation of standards, external resources, and apps across subject areas. If you go to "What Your Child Will Learn" you can also see quarterly objectives or topics for each grade level.
